Certification

ECDL

The European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) is the world’s most successful IT skills certification programme. Almost three million people are participating in the programme today in over 60 countries worldwide.

The ECDL sets a standard for everyone who uses a computer in either a professional or personal capacity. It is a certificate that proves competence in computer use, making the holder readily mobile within Ireland and internationally. Employers and job seekers all agree on the importance of this standard definition of practical competence in Information Technology.

ECDL Advanced

Following on the success of ECDL, and in response to demand from ECDL holders and test centres, the ECDL Foundation launched the Advanced ECDL Programme in 2000.

The ECDL Advanced Programme is now complete and the ECDL Foundation now provides a syllabus and a Question Test Base in four modules, Word Processing (AM3), Spreadsheets (AM4), Database ((AM5) and Presentations (AM6).

ECDL Expert

ECDL Expert is now available to anyone who has successfully completed the four advanced modules. This certificate clearly demonstrates that the holder has a comprehensive knowledge and skill level in computer applications. The ECDL Expert can be applied for on behalf of the candidate by the test centre where they sat the last of the four advanced tests.
